Define Database Maintenance

Database Maintenance is used to rebuild indexes on each of the tables you choose.  Revenue Results uses SQL Server.  The SQL database engine maintains indexes when insert, update, or delete operations are made to the database.  Modifications can cause the index to become fragmented and rebuilding indexes will reclaim disk space to make the indexes more efficient.  This is very similar to Defragmenting your computer which is a standard maintenance tool.  It can increase the speed of the system, but that can vary based on other outside factors such as Network performance.

Setup Indexes to rebuild automatically:

Step 1:  Navigate to Administration > Other > Database maintenance

Step 2:  The dialog box opens

Step 3:  Select the Day and time of the week to run this Event
**Nightly process happen from Midnight to 1am, therefore midnight to 3am is blocked out to verify there is not overlap.

Step 4:  Check mark the Tables to re-index.

Step 5:  Click OK to save.
